About the artist

Thomas Riesing

American painter. Riesing attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he received both BFA and MFA in art and art history. He taught painting and drawing at the University of Tennessee School of Art and was awarded the school’s Ellen McClung Berry Fellowship, a prestigious honor for professional activity, teaching and community service. Riesing has frequently traveled to museums and academies in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and was honored as a permanent visiting professor at Sichuan University.
