About the artist

Anderson Scott

American

1961-2020

American photographer. Work explored the southern culture of Confederate reenactors. Scott received an MFA in photography from Yale University and practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia, while continuing his lifelong photography projects: Whistling Dixie and Southbound. Photography examines the ways in which the past, particularly the Civil War, informs the culture of the modern day South.
