About the artist

Doug Warner

American

1930-2013

Doug Warner (American, 1930-2013) was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. An art professor at Mott Community College in Flint, MI, Warner influenced the local Flint art scene and is credited for designing the school's logo. His mainly abstract work has gained inspiration from themes of the American Southwest and his love for classical music. His work has been featured at the Smithsonian, Library of Congress, various American universities, and the former Xochipilli Gallery in Birmingham, MI.
