About the artist

Laura Grosch

American

b. 1945

American painter and printmaker. Though originally from Massachusetts, Grosch studied in North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. She uses bright colors in decorative patterns inspired by botanical images and patterns in textiles and artifacts. Grosch said of her work, "As in all aesthetic decision, the positive and the negative space dynamic determines my choices." Her work is featured across the US and in Italy, Yugoslavia, Central America, South America, and Canada.
