About the artist

Dan Vigil

American

b. 1960

Dan Vigil, a Taos, New Mexico-based artist, is known for his printmaking and monotypes, which often feature religious imagery, particularly angels, both with and without wings. He trained with printmakers from the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, NM. He is influenced by Bay Area painters such as Nathan Oliviera and Richard Diebenkorn.
