About the artist

John Maeda

American

b. 1966

American graphic designer. Maeda explores how technology, design, and art all connected. His work redefined the use of electronic media by juxtaposing artistic techniques and advanced computer programmes. He is currently a Design Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Beyers after being President of the Rhode Island School of Design for five years.
