About the artist

Albert Chong

American

b. 1958

American photographer. Chong studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City from 1978 to 1981. He later attended the University of California, San Diego and earned his MFA in 1991. Chong is best known for his photography based on themes of Chong’s own ancestry and the issues of finding an identity after the African diaspora.
