About the artist

Larry Dixon

American

b. 1951

Larry Dixon is an American fantasy artist and novelist. Dixon moved to Fayetteville from Italy when he was around 13 years old and his teenage years at the Hobbit Hobby Shop in Fayetteville led to his career as a fantasy artist. He also works with raptor rehabilitation and had a role in creating the digital art for the giant eagles in the Lord of the Rings movies. He studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts and at SCAD. He has contributed artwork to various fantasy games and books.
