About the artist

Robert Glenn Ketchum

American

b. 1947

American photographer. Ketchum earned his BA from UCLA and his MFA from California Institute of the Arts. He pioneered print scaling with Michael Wilder. He has been involved in several environmental movements, including advocacy exhibits which helped pass the 1990 Togass Timber Reform Bill to protect major rainforests. He earned the Partners in Conservation Award (2010); American Photography Magazine Master series (2010); United Nations Outstanding Environmental Achievement Award; the Josephine and Frank Duveneck Humanitarian Award; and Outstanding Photographer of the Year (2001) from the North American Nature Photography Association, among others. His work is featured across the US including in the Museum of Modern Art (NY), the National Museum of American Art (DC), the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY).
