About the artist

James Harold Jennings

American

1931-1999

American painter. Born in North Carolina, Jennings led a simple life on the family farm, with no electricity, running water, or telephone, and even lived on a school bus for some time. He works with basic tools like a knife and house paint. His works often feature birds and animals, but also include strong women fighting evil in the form of men or the devil.
