About the artist

Karin Batten

German

b. 1947

German painter known for her mixed media collages. Batten earned her MFA at Hunter College in New York, and her DFA from St. Martins/ Central School in London, England. Her work is inspired by memories of her childhood, travels in the United States, Europe and Latin America, space technology, and aerial views of urban landscapes.
