About the artist

Ali Fitzgerald

American

b. 1984

American graphic novelist and comic artist based in Berlin, Germany. Fitzgerald graduated from Davidson College in 2004. Her works include "Drawn to Berlin: Comic Workshops in Refugee Shelters and Other Stories from a New Europe," as well as The New Yorker's monthly column called "America!" She has also produced comics for The New York Times, The Huffington Post, McSweeney’s, The Guardian. She received the Independent Publisher Book Award.
