About the artist

Michelle Van Parys

American

b. 1957

Photographer and studio art professor at College of Charleston. B.F.A. from Corcoran School of Art, M.F.A from Virginia Commonwealth University. Works exhibited interationally in solo and group exhibitions. Recipient of the Virginia Museum Fellowship and South Carolina Arts Commision Fellowship. Major works include Way Out West: Desert Landscapes (published by Center for American Places, Columbia College, Chicago).
