About the artist

Ian Tyson

British

1933-2021

Ian Tyson was a British artist from Wallasey, Cheshire. He attended the Birkenhead School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools in London. Tyson had his first solo exhibition at Ashgate Gallery in Farnham and has since participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe. In addition to his artistic work, he taught drawing and printmaking in both Britain and the United States. Tyson was also active in Vaucluse, France.
