About the artist

Chryssa

Greek

1933-2013

This Greek-American artist is known for her assemblages using a wide variety of media, especially the use of neon to create light art. Chryssa attended the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco before moving to New York to pursue her artistic career. With elements of minimalism and pop art, her work was purposefully enigmatic.
