About the artist

Marion A. Epting

American

1940-2025

An American painter, teacher and printmaker. Epting was born in Forrest, Mississippi in 1940 and is now active in Chico, California. Epting produces tonally rich, often monchromatic prints reflective of and responding to racial injustice. Enigmatic and imbued with deep symbolism, Epting's prints marry a linear, graphic treatment of the human form with subtile, infinitely variable textures and barely preceptible patterns.
