Aubrey Schwartz

American

b. 1928

American printmaker, painter, sculptor, and illustrator. Known for innovative use of monotype: printmaking technique that generally yields a single impression from each prepared plate. Schwartz's works utilize traditional materials and methods to create compelling and haunting effects. Collected works can be mainly found in National Gallery in DC, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago.
