About the artist

Don Mahy

American

d. 1998

American artist. Received his bachelor's degree from Davidson College, a master's degree from Washington University, and a MFA from Columbia University. He was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study in Japan and exhibited professionally in 1960 onwards. He also served in the army in Korea and he earned the Good Conduct Medal. He taught at Mars Hill College for 26 years, retiring in 1994.
