About the artist

David Lan Bar

Israeli

1912-1987

Israeli painter. Lan-Bar's subject matter is comprised of abstract landscapes that use bold colors, geometric shapes, and sharp lines. He was one of the founders of “The Studio” in 1945 after studying with Miron Sima and Aharon Avni. He also studied at the Ecole de Beaux Arts before exhibiting in 1948 at the Salon d’Autumne.
