About the artist

Greg Alexander

American

b. 1927

American painter. Alexander was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He started college but dropped out to live in a log cabin on the south shore of Lake Superior to pursue art. Has has earned ten state conservation stamps, was chosen as the 2003 Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Artist of the Year, has sold over 200,000 pieces of artwork. He is currently based in Ashland, Wisconsin.
