I have been an artist for about 50 years, but definitely not the same artist. In the beginning, it was all about learning how to use the tools of the artist. Later, it evolved more toward how to see. Now, I find painting still embraces visual facts, but even more I must paint what can only be felt, the spiritual, the Tao.
