I painted this little piece back in October of 2025, and then after a year, and with some helpful feedback, I decided to make some changes. I like it better now. It's a lovely spot on the Brewster River on the edge of Jeffersonville as you head up towards Smugglers Notch. This is the view at the park looking upstream from the historic Gristmill Bridge. I know it as "Aldens Bridge" as it is the bridge you cross to get to the farm of Alden Bryan, a well known artist whose name adorns the Bryan Gallery in Jeffersonville. I've decided to leave the date of the painting as the original date even though the updates occurred in August of 2026, as the changes were not more than 50% of the original painting.
