“The Sun” is part of a set of 15 large painted panels created specifically for Geillis’s still-room set in the Outlander series. The production panels include imagery from the zodiac and tarot, including Cancer, Pisces, Scorpio, The Wheel of Fortune, Justice, Eight of Swords, The Sun, and The Devil. Eeach panel is quite substantial, constructed from eight pine boards. They first appear in season 1, episode 3, when Claire is visiting Geillis.
