After serving in the military, Turner turned to art as a form of healing, using painting as a therapeutic outlet to process personal experiences and reconnect with self. This foundation continues to shape her practice, resulting in work that is both deeply introspective and universally resonant. Her portraits often carry a quiet intensity. Capturing moments of stillness, tension, and growth that reflect the in-between spaces of life.
Turner’s work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Harlem Fine Arts Show, and she has completed multiple public art installations across the country. Her growing collector base is drawn to her ability to merge technical precision with emotional storytelling, producing pieces that feel both intimate and expansive.
In addition to her studio practice, Turner is the founder of Live or Exist Foundation Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity and supporting underserved communities through direct outreach. Her work across both art and service is rooted in a shared mission: to create space for people to feel seen, supported, and empowered.
As a cohort member of Black Art Today, Turner continues to expand her practice, pushing toward museum-level work that challenges, connects, and leaves a lasting impact.
