Jet Lag
"I share my morning, and you share your evening. Together, we create a day filled with shared experiences."
This is one of the stories I heard. One chose to immigrate in pursuit of a new life, while the other stayed behind to care for family. Separated by different time zones, they discovered a new way of staying connected. During the interview, he admitted that they don’t talk about the future—because, in their eyes, the future doesn’t exist. They choose not to face it, not to discuss it, and instead focus on the present, cherishing every moment of communication and exchange.
Perhaps it is precisely because of this that their relationship, spanning time zones, has become closer than when they lived together. His morning is her evening; her morning is his evening. Each day, though they live in different places, they piece together a full day by sharing their lives and moments. The time difference, rather than being a barrier, has become a connection that binds them closer.
