Ona Cavey is a multidisciplinary artist, working in glass & stone beads and natural elements.  Presently residing in Catonsville, MD,  she and her husband previously lived in Asheville, NC. While in Asheville, Ona immersed her artwork in the abundant, natural flora existing in the mountains of Western NC. As a natural elements artist, she sold in a variety of galleries in Downtown Asheville, Biltmore Village and surrounding areas.

Ona's current focus is in glass & stone bead mosaics. Bringing vibrant pallets and textures together with great care and detail, her creations are most unique.  You will also find some of Ona's work incorporating natural elements into her bead mosaics, for a mixed media approach.

Why do I make art?

I have been drawn to artistic endeavors ever since I can remember. Creating something, using simple materials, is especially gratifying. My work always begins with a concept and then inevitably takes on a life of its own.  The finished piece is always something of a surprise. If I can't make art, I garden.
