2019 Fibreswest Fibre Retreat, Muresk Grounds.
The Muresk Mahal installation was conceived and built while I was Artist in Residence at Fibreswest 2019 with the theme of the fibre forum being Bollywood. This combined with the melting pot of many creatives, boundless colour, art, fibre, superb instruction, fabulous exhibitions and keen learning inspired a colourful Mahal on the central lawn with a reflection garden centrepiece flanked by the giant medallions of Teneriffe or Sol lace.
The wire knitted dome was raised midweek with a performance by Bronwyn, Larissa, Justine, Theresa and myself. What a magic time we had.
