“Leaving” is part of my eleven year “Portrait of a Woman” legacy photographic narrative project. I use my own face inspired by historical and feminist self portrait artists to create layered, melded images. The pieces integrate natural world elements, echoing the changes in my own face. The artworks amplify and center the aging female face producing intriguing and instructive artworks.
