I’m drawn to the quiet moments when a scene is only beginning to come into focus. In Fragmented Dawn, I used muted layers, broken shapes, and small touches of color to suggest a landscape without fully defining it. The painting has been built up and altered over time, allowing some areas to remain ambiguous while others emerge more clearly. I like that tension between recognition and uncertainty—it gives the viewer room to find their own way into the painting.
