A solitary, downward-gazing figure emerges in deep crimson and black, framed by sharp art-deco geometry. At the centre of her chest, a sculpted black Sacred Heart holds a bat in its core—an emblem of shadow, strength, and the necessity of every hidden part. Painted early in the artist’s oil work and recently reimagined, it carries a brooding, gothic elegance.
Artist's Note:

Recently I came back to this painting, adding a sacred heart with a bat. The rich reds and heavy blacks speak to the truth that we’re built from all our parts—light, dark, and everything between. This piece owns that darkness, not as a flaw, but as essential strength.
