Referencing the golden age star and the quote often misattributed to her, this piece recalls the mess left behind after a party. Thick and thin green paint creates a base of varied texture. Smears of orange and lemon yellow catch on vertical lines, adding natural dimension. Red and cyan further the palette past a point of no return--this is a tacky outfit, this is one too many, this is “Marilyn Monroe At Her Worst”.
