"Crisi (Crisis)", produced around 1975, distils the atmosphere of political and social fracture that runs through the artist’s work of the period. In this linocut, figures are compressed into a turbulent mass, their bodies twisted, overlapping and partially submerged within the composition. A tilted banner bearing the word “CRISI” cuts across the scene, anchoring the image firmly in the language of protest and collective anxiety. The stark contrasts and forceful carving amplify a sense of urgency and instability, presenting crisis not as a single event but as a condition - embodied, shared and unresolved.
