Gelb is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, fiber, textile, and installation.
Her work investigates issues involving gender, time, layers, social interactions, and science.
In 2016, she created a photographic documentary with VIDA, a non-profit legal assistance organization in Florida that advocates for the rights of immigrant survivors of violent crimes, sexual assault, and trafficking. In 2018 her first monograph, As Is: Women Exposed, was published by Daylight Books. Gelb photographed the naked bodies of hundreds of people who identify as women, from below their chins to above their pubic bone anonymously. She interviewed each about their relationships with their bodies, and how society informs their views around issues of beauty standards, health, and aging.
Gelb works in her studio at The Collective 62 in Liberty City.
