Born in Cardiff I developed a passion for painting with many hours painting through my formative years with two of my aunts who were keen landscape artists painting in oils. I continued to paint, self taught into my 30s while progressing a career from a trainee draughtsperson to a professional civil engineer in senior management positions. This gave me an eye for detail while finding time to relax and paint became increasingly difficult my determination to paint full time remained as a persistent dream. Having moved to Pembrokeshire in 2023 with its amazing coastline, and wildlife, and leaving my engineering career firmly in the past I have taken up my brushes again to see where they may take me. The varied landscape, amazing light and changing moods of the weather in Pembrokeshire, present a wealth of inspiration for my recent work. Pembrokeshire beaches, sunsets and wildlife are my passion in paint, providing amazing beautiful views, awesome atmospheric sunsets and cause for reflection on what is really important in life.
