Reminiscent of the Japanese art of kintsugi, in which broken china is mended with lacquer, this honey-colored centerpiece was carved by Robin Antar from a single block of honeycomb calcite that catches the light and seems to radiate sunlight. Cut, ground, and polished to a 12,000-grit finish while leaving certain sides raw in Antar's signature style, this foot-wide piece is large enough to hold treasured gemstones or covered candies.
