Amanda Kelly is a miniaturist and artist pursuing a a Master’s in Fine Arts at Radford University. She has built miniatures for clients including Coca-Cola, Disney, and Netflix.

“I want to show how moving to Roanoke has sparked my creativity and inspired me as a miniaturist,” says Kelly. “I don't include human figures in my work, so I’ve created a replica of my life-size studio in 1:12th scale. Within it the viewer will find clues to my work process as well as tiny ‘works in progress,’ recreations of iconic Roanoke locations that mean something special to me. They include the Taubman Museum, the building with the Coca-Cola sign my dad painted, and Lancerlot ice rink.” The careful viewer will also note a tiny version of a full-size self-portrait by the artist and the Roanoke Star visible in through the window.
