Oil On Canvas

60 x 60 in

Solar Eclipse on a Cloudy Night is a 60-inch square oil on canvas within the Organic Movement Collection. Utilizing his signature twine painting technique, Raj replaces brushes with thread to create visceral, kinetic abstractions. Silvery white strokes swirl against a black background, mimicking celestial turbulence or frozen weather patterns. Without a traditional center or edge, the canvas pulses with textural complexity as lines splinter and fracture. The work captures the tension between planetary motion and atmospheric obstruction. Ultimately, the piece invites viewers to witness abstraction as pure energy, where the physical act of dragging twine records a deliberate yet unpredictable celestial event.
