Luminous Currents is a 6x4 foot oil on canvas exploring fluid emergence within the Organic Movement. Using his thread painting technique, Raj layers linseed-enriched oils to create a dimensional, wet foundation. Vivid chartreuse-yellow pigment is pulled across emerald backgrounds with saturated baker’s twine, producing sinuous arcs and feathered edges that traditional tools cannot replicate. Inspired by Joan Mitchell’s gestural cascades, this "painting choreography" balances intentionality with the unpredictable will of the medium.
