En mi opinión, el arte abstracto debe buscar provocar, estimular y evocar una impresión única y personal para el espectador. Si bien me esfuerzo por no incluir elementos ni detalles fácilmente identificables del mundo real, a veces sucede, algo que muchos perciben en mis obras abstractas: recordatorios de la realidad. Y eso está bien. A mí también me ocurre a veces: al terminar y revisar una obra, surge algo que, a mi parecer, es identificable o sugiere la realidad, tal vez un objeto de nuestro mundo.
Por eso, al titular mis pinturas, a menudo, aunque no siempre, intento ser ambiguo. No quiero imponer al espectador la idea o impresión de algo conocido o visto antes, sino permitirle que se forme una impresión y una sensación completas de mi pintura abstracta por sí mismo.
English> Abstract art, my opinion, should strive to provoke, stimulate and elicit an impression that perhaps is unique, personal to the viewer. As much as I try to not insert easily identifiable elements and details found in the real world it does happen from time to time, something that many people see in my abstracts, reminders of reality. That is ok. Happens to me sometimes too, upon completion and review, something sometimes comes forth that to my eye is identifiable or suggestive of reality, perhaps an object found in our real world.
So when I title I often, not always of course, try to be nebulous in my titles of my paintings. I don't want to place a thought, impression in the viewers mind of something known, seen before, but allow the viewer to form a total impression and sensation of my abstract painting totally on their own.
