Gracias.
In some ways I see this painting as a transition painting. By that I mean it is a painting that is moving somewhat in a different direction from the other abstract paintings I have produced in the last 2 years or so. It incorporates perhaps subtle or more than subtle changes, such as more larger, commanding shapes and touches of identifiable, familiar imagery....such as the sky effects within some larger areas.
As I was finishing the painting it suddenly occurred to me that a better way to define my painting, at least in my mind, as being a bit surreal. I understood, as well, that along with one other painting I've created, this surreal effect was beginning to suggest a new and possible abstract direction, even if not so dramatic or powerful. I hope you like this painting and please feel free to comment. All kinds of comments are appreciated. Thank you.
