English>This painting in composition is a little less active than most of my abstract paintings. Perhaps more calming, for me to have created and more calming also to the viewer. I try to incorporate in many of my paintings flowing, connecting lines that work to separate and define, support the large irregular shapes that typically come forth as I paint. The linework that I overlay upon and around the large and small shapes also helps to guide the eye flow and provide a sense of direction for the composition. As I look upon this painting I can feel the heat, as in the color selection temperature.
What perhaps are your thoughts and feelings about this painting? Also, what do you think about the title? The flowing white lines made me think of strands of spaghetti and the small ovals, rounded rectangles reminded me of pieces of confetti....so thus the title came forth.
