Being rushed and on an immediate time crunch sometimes can spark and lead to amazing pieces - such the case with "GOLD RUSH" ...

Relatively fresh and new to the art gallery scene, "GOLD RUSH" was my third original piece featured at @TheArtGarage and only piece accepted into June 2024's THE BiG SHOW!

The show featured "big" pieces only. I actually did not have any pieces large enough to submit at the time, so I quite literally had rush to find a canvas big enough to create "GOLD RUSH", just in time for its acceptance *fingers crossed* into THE BIG SHOW!

"GOLD RUSH" is "mixed media" at it's core, combining and infusing all sorts of mediums including acrylic paint, spray paint, sand, flakes of gold paper, and mineral oil - just to name a few.

The title did not emerge until after the piece was finished. Usually my titles are spark-of-the-moment ideas that end up matching pieces perfectly.
