An authentic expression of the innermost thoughts can sometimes best be expressed visually. For me, the most authentic representation of my artistic journey is when I paint subjects that give me the chance to contemplate every time I view said work. To remember, to hope, to decompress, to find acceptance within myself, nature and inspirations from nature plays a vital role in my practice. I find true solace staring out at a vast ocean, or analyzing even the minutest details of a fallen leaf. Exploring tactile and visual textures through paint excites me immensely. I hope my work helps you remember and contemplate what makes you hopeful too. That would be the pinnacle of success for my artistic journey.
