DOUBLE VISION
I’ve have chosen one of the Rorschach’s provocative inkblots to enlarge, sculpt and exhibit in
public. Before the 1960s Rorschach’s inkblots were kept secret, and only revealed to patients
in private. Their responses were heard by a trained therapist and results kept confidential.
Although these “dots” no longer merit diagnostic accuracy, their suggestive ambiguity
fascinates us. I’ve chosen to enlarge and exhibit them publicly to invite viewers to share their
spontaneous associations to discover novelty, reveal insights and enjoy camaraderie.
