Jackie Ferrara was a minimalist sculptor who was most known for her pyramids, stairways, and towers, often made from salvaged wood. Her works were mathematically precise and balanced, a testament to her craftmanship. In the 1970s her artworks shifted from gallery spaces to public works. She has had sculptures showcased at Grand Central Station, University of San Diego, Tufts University, and more. In her final years she founded the Jackie Ferrara Foundation, which aims to support female artists, performers, and musicians.
