Sunrise IV is part of an ongoing series inspired by many spring trips along the Atlantic coast, Sunrise IV, Outer Banks captures the hush of an early morning shoreline just after the sun has come up and the colors begin to glow. Layers of molten beeswax—infused with pigment—are used to sculpt a surface that mirrors the texture of light over water and sand.
