In this painting, the changing season nudges this wild herd of mares and steeds to move on. The shifting glaciers of looming mountain peaks tell of altering patterns of light, wind and moisture, a signal for these horses to reach other places soon. Despite the wide variety of the otherwise independent horses, instinct draws them close together in a cohesive group when traveling afar.
Painted on a gallery wrap canvas, the image flows around the 1.5" deep edge, adding dimension to the piece. This painting is mounted in a solid wood, charcoal colored deep floater frame that enhances the piece. The outer dimensions of the frame measure 18" high by 42" wide and 2" deep. It is wired and ready to hang anywhere you want a reminder to embark on an adventure with your peers.
All materials in this oil painting are of archival quality for lasting impressions.
One of a series of award winning landscapes by Pat Cross.
