Winter is often thought of as colourless, yet when we pause and truly look, the snow reveals a gentle spectrum of warmth, shadow, and light. When Snow Holds Colour explores that quieter truth — where whites are layered with soft blues, lavenders, and golds, and the landscape feels hushed but alive.

This painting was inspired by the way winter light settles across open field, lake and low hills, offering a sense of calm rather than cold. Even in the shorter days, there is reassurance here — a promise that light remains present, reflected and held by the snow itself.

Created in soft pastel, this piece invites the viewer to slow down, breathe deeply, and notice the subtle beauty that often goes unseen. It is a reflection on winter not as an ending, but as a season of quiet renewal and understated grace.
