Most of her dolls are children. Nina says that she loves children, their pure and innocent beauty, their tenderness and truthfulness. It is a challenge and pleasure for the artist to feel, catch and depict a kid's character. She always watches and studies children wherever possible.
Nina sculpts her OOAK dolls using polymer clay "Original Sculpey" and paints them with acrylics. Her first dolls were pretty large, 14-17 inches. Recently, after creating a souvenir for the 2018 NIADA Conference Nina switched to smaller dolls, half the size of the previous ones, but the procedure remains the same: getting inspiration, sculpting , polishing, painting, designing and creating a costume, a wig, and accessories.
