I was walking, camera in hand, in Seattle's South Lake Union Park. There was a wedding on a rented, classic wooden yacht, with guests celebrating on the decks. But the bride was in a main cabin door, alone, looking into the park as she took a moment to herself. I slightly raised my camera to request her permission to take her photo. She signaled agreement and I took three or four shots. No words or information were exchanged. Even though it is not life size, I include in my "First Encounters" series of near life size stranger portraits, for which it is more precursor than full member.
